Thoughts on Paper
My mind
is always buzzing with audio. Right now it's alternating between You
Rock My World by Michael,
Sunglasses at Night by
Corey Hart, Who Is It,
the overture from The Phantom of the Opera,
and the Smooth Criminal remix I did for Electronic Music Composition.
I learn by hearing; I've been like that all my life, including my
Asperger's. Also, I pay attention to visual, physical and music
details. I plan on writing my original story soon (I'm writing some
of the rough drafts), but I'm facing two problems with this: School
and not writing another MJ fanfic.
I've
been writing Michael Jackson fanfictions for over a year now and it's
hard for me to not think about relating to Michael: Interviews; short
films; concert and live performances that occurred both before and
after my birth (MJ and I are 38 years apart); his songs; home videos
and what he really went through. The fact that I became interested in
him in the early stages of my teenage years, after seeing This
Is It for the first time three
years ago, could have been the cause of my switch from being a Star
Wars expert to a Moonwalker (which means that I'm a big fan of
Michael).
What
saddens me is that most teenagers have no respect for Michael. At my
high school, I'm surrounded by Whovians, my sister being one of them.
One thing I still don't get is why teenagers weren't exposed, at an
early age, to how important education and knowledge are. My parents
taught both Emily and I how those two things can take you in life.
With pretty much everybody having the Internet at their finger tips,
they forget what's happening around them and focus on the propaganda
on the iPhone.
What
has happened to society?
